Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud solutions using AWS services and technologies.
- Lead the architectural design and development of cloud-based applications, ensuring they meet business requirements, performance objectives, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and project managers, to design and deliver integrated solutions that align with business goals.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects and engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development within the team.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing infrastructure and applications, identifying areas for optimization, migration, or consolidation to the AWS platform.
- Develop and maintain architectural standards, guidelines, and documentation, ensuring compliance with security, regulatory, and governance frameworks.
- Stay updated with the latest AWS services, features, and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact and recommending relevant solutions to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scopes, objectives, and timelines, providing accurate estimations and resource planning for successful project delivery.
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of third-party tools, services, and frameworks to enhance the AWS ecosystem and improve operational efficiency.
- Act as a subject matter expert in AWS architecture and assist in resolving complex technical challenges and issues.
Essential Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 15 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, architecture, and cloud computing.
- Extensive experience designing and implementing AWS solutions, including core services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.
- Strong knowledge of architectural patterns, best practices, and methodologies for building scalable and resilient cloud applications.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform for automating the provisioning and management of AWS resources.
- Expertise in cloud security principles, identity and access management (IAM), and data protection techniques in the AWS environment.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and drive large-scale cloud migration or transformation projects, from assessment and planning to implementation and optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex systems and propose innovative solutions to meet business requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
