Role Description
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sustainable Water Solutions Intern to join our team at UNIDEL. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in water conservation projects and contribute to meaningful initiatives aimed at preserving our planet’s most valuable resource. The selected candidate will work closely with a team with diverse backgrounds to assist in research, analysis, and implementation of various water conservation strategies.
Responsibilities
Needs Assessment:
- Conduct research on water conservation best practices, technologies, and policies.
- Assist in data collection and analysis related to water usage, efficiency, and conservation efforts.
- Participate in fieldwork, including site visits, water quality testing, and irrigation analyses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for water-saving measures within our organization and community.
- Assist in the implementation of water conservation projects and explore water farming techniques including rainwater harvesting systems, water-efficient landscaping, and water reuse initiatives.
- Provide administrative support as needed, including organizing meetings, maintaining project documentation, and preparing reports.
Eligibility
- Currently enrolled in a degree program related to environmental science, water resources management, hydraulic engineering, sustainability, or a related field.
- Passion for environmental conservation and a strong interest in water issues.
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to engage in fieldwork and outdoor research activities.
